Classes and learning

About these terms

These terms and policies apply to every student enrolled in live online music lessons at Infrasonic School of Music, powered by Infrasonic Inc, and to the parents or guardians who enrol them. They bring together our Student Policy, Academic Policies & Operational Guidelines, and Payment & Fees Policy for the 2026–2027 academic year.

By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to follow these policies. Enrolment means acceptance.

Enrolment and registration

Every student must complete the official registration form before classes begin. The details you give must be accurate and kept up to date.

Incomplete or incorrect registration can lead to:

  • A delay in the student’s class start
  • Incorrect names or details on certificates
  • Billing issues

A one-time registration fee of ₹1,000 applies. See Fees at a glance.

Classes and plans

All classes are live and online. Depending on the plan chosen, a student receives 4, 8 or 12 classes a month (once, twice or three times a week) on a fixed weekly schedule.

Every class follows a set structure so time is used well:

Class lengthHow the time is used
25 minutes5 min warm-up and revision, then 20 min lesson and recap
50 minutes10 min warm-up, 5 min revision, 30 min lesson, 5 min recap
60 minutes (group, where offered)10 min warm-up, 5 min revision, 40 min lesson, 5 min recap

A fixed schedule is essential for steady progress, so frequent changes and cancellations should be avoided.

Student Sheet and communication

Each student is set up on the Student Sheet, which holds everything about their classes:

  • Class links
  • Assignments and practice work
  • Progress reports
  • Class communication

Please watch the Student Sheet onboarding video before the first class.

Everything goes through your Coordinator

Each student has an assigned Coordinator. Contact them, not the teacher, for:

  • Cancellations and reschedules
  • Slot changes
  • Break requests
  • Fee queries

Direct communication between parents and teachers is not permitted. Parent–teacher communication happens only through the Student Sheet, the official WhatsApp group or the Coordinator.

Class readiness and conduct

For every class, students should:

  • Join 5 minutes before the scheduled time
  • Have their instrument, a music notebook and a pen or pencil ready
  • Take the class in a quiet, distraction-free space
  • Keep their video on when the teacher asks
  • Behave respectfully towards teachers and staff

Daily practice is mandatory, for at least the time the teacher sets. Practice work is assigned after every class.

Parents must not discuss fees with teachers or arrange private tuition with an Infrasonic teacher. Breaking these rules may lead to disciplinary action.

Safety and safeguarding

We keep online learning safe and professional for every student:

  • All classes take place only on the platform approved by Infrasonic.
  • A parent or guardian must be present or reachable throughout the class.
  • Teachers keep strict professional boundaries. Private meetings, closed-door teaching and personal arrangements are not allowed.
  • Teachers do not share personal phone numbers with students or parents, and do not offer private tuition to Infrasonic students.
  • Every session is recorded. Recordings stay available to the student for at least one week as a practice reference.

If you have any concern about safety or conduct, tell your Coordinator or email support@infrasonicinc.com straight away.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Notice

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is needed to cancel or reschedule a class.
  • For a medical emergency, give at least 2 hours’ notice.
  • Last-minute cancellations count as a class taken.

Monthly limit

PlanCancellations allowed each month
Once a week1
Twice a week2
Three or more times a week3

Cancellations beyond the monthly limit are billed as classes taken. All cancellations and reschedules must be requested through your Coordinator in advance.

Joining late

Please stick strictly to the scheduled time. If a student joins late:

50 minutes0–15 minutesCounted as a full class

25 minutesMore than 15 minutesMarked as attended

Late joining is only rescheduled in special cases.

Make-up (compensation) classes

  • Make-up classes are booked only through the Operations team. Once a slot is confirmed, it counts as a class.
  • Student cancellation (with proper notice): the make-up class is held online within the same week. It can’t be carried forward, so please be available.
  • Teacher cancellation: a make-up class is provided within the same week or month, depending on mutual availability.
  • In case of natural calamities or other disruptions, classes may be rescheduled.

Group sessions

Where a group session is shortened or disrupted, a 10–15 minute make-up is held within the same week, before or after the next class or as a short separate slot. Only the affected batch is eligible, there is no second make-up if a student misses it, and it can’t be carried beyond the week.

Holidays

Infrasonic observes the following holidays in 2026. Classes that fall on a holiday may be rescheduled earlier or within the same week, where possible.

Taking a break

  • A student can take a break of up to 30 days. Request it through your Coordinator.
  • During the break, learning materials are shared and 15–30 minutes of daily practice is expected.
  • To keep the student’s slot, the regular fee must be paid during the break. Without payment, the slot may be released.
  • Classes missed during a paid break are made up after the student returns.

Curriculum, assessments and certificates

Students follow one of these curricula, as agreed at registration:

  • IN-HOUSE CURRICULUM: Infrasonic’s own module-by-module programme
  • GRADE EXAMINATION TRAINING: the Trinity College London or Rockschool (RSL) grade curriculum
  • CUSTOMIZED-BASED LEARNING: a customised plan, once approved

All teachers are trained and aligned to these curricula before teaching and don’t use unapproved books or their own syllabus.

  • A module assessment is held at the end of each module.
  • A certificate is issued when the module is completed successfully.
  • Grade exam students receive exam registration support, exam guidance and certification support.

Progress and parent–teacher meetings

A parent–teacher meeting (PTM) is held after every module. When the teacher confirms the student is ready, your Coordinator arranges a time with you. The PTM takes place during the last 10–15 minutes of a class, with the Coordinator present.

Each PTM covers:

  • Attendance
  • Module or grade progress
  • Strengths and areas to improve
  • Practice consistency
  • Performance readiness
  • An action plan for the next module

Events and performances

Performing is part of learning at Infrasonic. Through the year, students can take part in:

  • Recitals, held quarterly
  • Masterclasses and workshops
  • Student–teacher collaborations
  • Let’s Konnect artist sessions
  • One-to-one recitals
  • The Christmas event

Every student should get at least one or two performance opportunities a year, and teachers nominate students for recitals every three months. Dates follow the annual event calendar.

Technology

Students are responsible for having:

  • A stable internet connection
  • A working device with camera and microphone
  • Access to the Student Sheet

Infrasonic is not responsible for classes affected by technical problems on the student’s side.

How you can pay

RazorpayOnline payment through an official Infrasonic payment link
UPIUsing the UPI details officially provided by Infrasonic
Bank transferDirectly to Infrasonic’s designated bank account
Other methodsAny other method Infrasonic officially communicates

To pay online now, go to our Pay Fees Online page.

Only pay through official Infrasonic payment links, UPI details or bank account information. See Payment security.

Razorpay payment gateway charges

Infrasonic uses Razorpay for online payments. Razorpay sets its gateway charges based on the payment method, the type of transaction and its prevailing commercial terms. Its currently published standard pricing is:

Transaction typeGateway feeGST (18% on the fee)Effective chargeCharge on ₹10,000
Domestic (standard)2%0.36%2.36%₹236
International cards3%0.54%3.54%₹354

Other payment methods

  • EMI, American Express, Diners Club, corporate credit cards and other premium instruments may carry different charges. Where a 3% fee applies, the effective charge including GST is 3.54%.
  • Razorpay’s current pricing shows zero MDR for standard bank-account UPI, though gateway or platform charges may still apply depending on the payment arrangement.
  • International payments may also involve currency conversion, foreign exchange or cross-border processing charges.

When charges change

These figures reflect Razorpay’s currently published pricing. Razorpay may revise its charges, taxes or payment-method fees at any time, and the charge on any transaction is set by its pricing at the time you pay. Razorpay is an independent third-party provider; Infrasonic does not set or control its processing charges. You can check current rates on Razorpay’s pricing page.

Due dates and late payments

If you pay monthly, the fee is due on or before the 10th of every month, regardless of the date of the student’s first class in that month.

  • If the fee isn’t received by the 10th, a late charge of ₹10 per day applies for each day it remains outstanding, until the payment is received and verified.
  • The late charge is separate from the course fee and must be cleared together with the outstanding amount.
  • Classes can’t continue indefinitely against an unpaid balance. If payment is still outstanding after the due date, classes may be paused and the student’s slot may be released.

Any special payment arrangement must be discussed with and approved by Infrasonic in advance.

Subscription renewals

Renew your subscription one month before the current period ends. This applies to 3-month, 6-month and 12-month plans.

Example: if a subscription ends on 30 June, the renewal payment should be made by 31 May.

Renewing early lets us keep the same teacher and slot, keep classes running without a gap, and plan the next period properly. Our team may contact you ahead of a renewal.

Paying by UPI or bank transfer

Transfer the full course or subscription fee to Infrasonic’s official account. Afterwards, you may be asked to share:

  • The student’s name
  • The transaction reference or UTR number
  • A payment screenshot, where needed
  • The subscription or payment period it covers

A payment counts as complete only once the amount has been received and verified by our Accounts and Operations team.

Payment confirmation and receipts

A payment counts as complete only once it has been received and verified by our Accounts and Operations team. Payment records are then updated and, where applicable, a receipt or confirmation is shared with you.

We keep records of fees, monthly payments, renewals, outstanding balances, late charges, receipts, refunds and adjustments. Please help our team whenever a transaction needs to be verified or clarified.

Failed, pending or duplicate payments

If a payment shows as failed, pending or reversed, or money has left your account but hasn’t reached our records, contact our team with the transaction details. We’ll verify it and, where needed, work with Razorpay, the bank or the payment provider to resolve it.

Please don’t pay again while a transaction is pending. Check its status with us first.

Duplicate payments

If you accidentally pay twice, we’ll verify both transactions. Once confirmed, the extra amount may be adjusted against a future fee or renewal, or refunded in line with our refund terms.

Refunds

Course fees are not refunded after registration. Where a refund does apply, such as a duplicate payment:

  • A payment made through Razorpay is generally refunded through the same payment channel.
  • How long it takes to reach you depends on Razorpay, your bank, card issuer or payment method.
  • Gateway charges, taxes and third-party processing costs are handled according to the applicable refund terms.

International payments

Students outside India can use the international payment options Infrasonic provides. These payments may be subject to:

  • International payment gateway charges
  • GST or other applicable taxes
  • Currency conversion charges and exchange-rate differences
  • Cross-border processing charges
  • Bank or payment-provider charges

Because of these third-party charges, the amount Infrasonic receives may differ from the amount you pay or convert.

Payment security

Only make payments through links, UPI details or bank account information officially provided by Infrasonic. If you’re ever unsure whether payment details are genuine, check with us before paying.

Infrasonic is not responsible for payments made to unauthorised people, accounts, links or payment details that did not come from Infrasonic.

Part 3

General

Referrals

A referral is valid only when the student is new to Infrasonic and the referral is mentioned at the time of enrolment. The referral bonus is credited after the new student has paid for at least one month. The scheme is offered at Infrasonic’s discretion.

Your information

We use the details shared at registration to place the student in the right batch, run classes, issue certificates, handle billing and stay in touch. The student photo is optional and helps the mentor put a face to the name. Class recordings are kept so the student can use them for practice.

Student data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. For any question about your data, email support@infrasonicinc.com.

Changes to these policies

Infrasonic may update these terms and policies at any time, including when our payment processes, subscription structure, payment gateway arrangements, banking requirements or applicable laws change. Updates are published on this page, and the latest version is the one that applies.
